Child and Youth Education
The mission of the HBSPCA's Humane Education department is to stop cruelty before it begins through education. We aim to educate children from an early age, focusing primarily on children 16 years old and under. All of the programs strive to instill compassion, knowledge and respect towards all animals. All of the education programs incorporate safe hands-on experience with animals when appropriate.
Children are taught about the HBSPCA, what we stand for, the types of animals we help and how we help them. All of the programs teach children the right ways to interact with animals and promote kindness and compassion toward all living creatures.
For more details on each of our programs please click on the links on the left. If you have any questions please contact the Humane Education Department at 905-574-7722 x326 or kbeck@hbspca.com.
