Summer Camp - 6-12
Hamilton/Burlington SPCA Summer Camp
The Hamilton/Burlington SPCA Summer Camp teaches children the importance of respect, kindness and compassion for all living things. This year's themes are Piles of Pets! and Farm to Forest!
During the Piles of Pets! week, we'll learn all about the different pets we have in our homes. From dogs, to cats, to rodents... and more! We'll learn how to care for animals, how to properly handle them and why it is so important that we humans respect our animal friends!
At Farm to Forest! camp, we'll learn all about farm animals and wild animals. From life on a working farm to survival in the wild, we'll come to understand the impact that humans have on the lives of animals and why it is so important that we respect our animal friends!
Both weeks include fun and informative lectures, hands-on socialization with small animals, games, activities, interesting guest speakers and fun weekly field trips. Please note that while the kids will have plenty of opportunities for hands-on socialization with the animals, they will not be working with them all day long.
