The Hamilton/Burlington SPCA (HBSPCA) Board of Directors has announced the appointment of John Gerrard as Chief Executive Officer.
For the past nine years, Mr. Gerrard served as CEO for Habitat for Humanity Halton-Mississauga-Dufferin. His progressive leadership established clear direction, renewed stability, and championed innovation.
Prior to his charitable sector experience with Habitat for Humanity, Mr. Gerrard held senior-level positions in the private sector gaining valuable experience in sales, marketing, and operations by working with national retailers, international advertising & communication agencies, and global manufacturers. In addition to his expertise in brand development, fundraising, data collection and analysis, Mr. Gerrard has extensive experience in grassroots donor engagement and call-to-action volunteerism and looks forward to bringing these skills to his new role with the HBSPCA.
