It’s the largest community fundraising event of the year for the Hamilton-Burlington SPCA.
The 32nd annual Wiggle Waggle Walk Your Way is slated for Sept. 12.
But due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event will be held online for a second consecutive year.
That’s why the folks at the HBSPCA have added “Walk Your Way” to the event.
According to Heather Vaugeois, director of fundraising and communications at the Dartnall Road shelter, that means participants can hold their own fundraising activities as part of what she hopes will be a big community event.
“You can be at home. We have some people who are having a concert in their driveway, some people are swimming, some are biking, some people are doing little barbecue fundraisers,” Vaugeois said. “It’s really time to recognize the importance that animals play in our lives.”
