It was a pawsome moment when Margaret decided to adopt one of our precious French bulldogs in March. She had been searching for a furry companion for some time and finally found her perfect match in Gale (now Rascal), who captured her heart with his big brown eyes and affectionate personality. Margaret fell in love with him instantly, and Rascal became an integral part of her family. She showered him with love and care, and Rascal was thriving in his new home.

Recently, Margaret returned to the shelter, looking for a friend for Rascal. We suggested Pebbles, another French bulldog with several health issues who needed a special home. We warned Margaret about Pebbles’ condition, but she was undeterred. She was determined to give Pebbles the love and care she deserved.

When Margaret, Rascal, and Pebbles met, it was a magical moment. The dogs sniffed each other and wagged their tails excitedly. Margaret showered them with affection. It was a heartwarming sight, and everyone in the shelter could feel the love and happiness in the air.

Margaret immediately knew that Pebbles was the one for her. She renamed her Trouble, a fitting name for her playful and mischievous personality. It was evident that Trouble had found her furever home.

At the HBSPCA, we believe that every animal deserves a loving home and a chance at a happy life. We’re grateful for adopters like Margaret, who demonstrate the true meaning of compassion and kindness towards animals.
