HBSPCA Receives 28 Pallets of Pet Food
Donated by Chewy in Collaboration with Greater Good Charities
Donation Supports Pet Food Pantry and Community Days
HAMILTON, Ontario (April 11, 2024) – The Hamilton Burlington SPCA recently welcomed the donation of 28 pallets or approximately 6500 pounds of pet food from Chewy in collaboration Greater Good Charities that will support its Pet Food Pantry and Community Days, currently fully supported by in-kind donations. This significant donation of pet food included canned food, kibble and treats for dogs and cats.
“On behalf of the staff and volunteers at the HBSPCA, thank you to Chewy for such a generous donation of dog and cat food in support of our Pet Food Pantry and Community Days for Pet Food and Supplies,” said Michelle Macnab, Director Community Outreach and Animal Programs, HBSPCA. “In-kind donations make these community outreach programs possible and available to everyone in the community as HBSPCA responds to ever-growing requests for support.”
HBSPCA’s Pet Food Pantry provides pet guardians with pet food and basic supplies and has seen a rapid uptick in requests for access in 2024. Pet Food Pantry pickups and deliveries can be arranged via the Pet Food Pantry web page. Upcoming Community Days for Pet Food and Supplies are also listed there.
