Meet Donna Meeboer – one of our incredible volunteers at the HBSPCA! Donna has been volunteering with us since 2019, helping out behind the scenes in accounting and fund development. Not only does she bring her skills to the table, but she also brings her furry friend, Buddy – a four-year-old Bichon-Maltese cross – who keeps her company while she works from home.
Donna is always ready to lend a helping hand wherever it’s needed. She even picks up food donations from Freshco in Binbrook, where she resides. She’s an active participant in many of our events, including Picture Your Pet and the rabies microchip clinics.
Although Donna doesn’t work directly with our furry friends, she knows that every little bit helps. Her commitment to supporting our mission has even earned her a nomination for Senior Citizen Volunteer of the Year!
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you and paws up to Donna for her unwavering commitment and dedication to our cause. It’s volunteers like her that make our organization thrive.
If you’re interested in volunteering like Donna, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved. From fostering to fundraising, there’s a way for everyone to support. And if you’re unable to volunteer, a donation can go a long way in helping us continue to provide much-needed care to animals in our community.
