Drag Me Not Dog Training

Say goodbye to pulling, tugging, and tangled leashes! Our new Drag Me Not Dog Training short course with K9 Principles is designed to help you and your canine companion walk together with confidence, calmness, and control.

Over the course of 4 weekly, 1-hour classes, you'll learn practical tools and positive training techniques to build a safe and enjoyable walking routine with your canine BFF.

Eligibility:

1. Vaccinations:

Just to make sure we are on the same page and there are no surprises, we follow the recommended vaccination protocol from the Ontario Veterinary College. All dogs entering a group class must be up to date with rabies, parvovirus, distemper, and Bordetella (kennel cough). Puppies not old enough to receive certain vaccines are exempted. This is for your dog's well-being and safety but also the safety and well-being of all the dogs entering the class including dogs that they live with. We will need to verify this before starting your class.

2. Age:

All canine's must be at least 12 weeks of age or older to join this program.

What to Expect:

Hands-On Training:

Learn techniques to discourage jumping and encourage calm behaviour when guests come into your home.

Positive Reinforcement Techniques:

We believe in using positive reinforcement to guide your dog’s learning. You’ll be taught techniques that encourage good behaviour through rewards, making the training experience enjoyable for both you and your dog.

Interactive Learning Environment:

Each session is interactive and engaging, with opportunities to practice what you’ve learned alongside other dogs and their owners. This environment helps your dog get accustomed to working around distractions, improving their focus in different settings.

Strengthen Your Bond:

This course is about more than just commands—it’s about creating a deeper connection with your dog. The skills you learn together will build trust, improve communication, and make daily interactions smoother and more enjoyable.

Quick and Effective:

In just half an hour, you’ll gain tools and strategies to create lasting habits for your furry friend. Who Is This Workshop For? Perfect for dogs of all ages and breeds who need a little extra help mastering polite greetings—whether it’s with family, friends, or strangers.
