Come meet one of our adoptable animals and learn more about the HBSPCA - right in your neighbourhood.

Every animal at the HBSPCA has a story, and every adoption starts with a moment of connection. Our Pet Valu Adoption Awareness Events bring that moment to you - no shelter visit required.

HBSPCA staff and volunteers head out into the community with one of our adoptable animals, giving you the chance to meet them up close in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

These events are about more than finding a match. They're an opportunity to learn what adoption really looks like - the process, the commitment, and the joy of giving an animal a permanent place to call home. Our team is there to answer your questions honestly, whether you're ready to adopt today or just starting to explore the idea.

We'll also be sharing more details about our new campaign, Unleash Love - our plans to build our new 6+ acre Animal Welfare Hub to serve millions of animals and the families who love them.

4 Days in 4 Locations

We'll be in these Pet Valu locations from 10 am to 2 pm:

• Aug 6: C1-80 Primeway Dr, Welland
• Aug 7: 200 Fitch St, Welland
• Aug 13: Building 2-1794 Stone Church Rd E, Hamilton
• Aug 15: 2537 Hamilton Regional Rd 56 B1, Binbrook

What to Expect

We'll be popping up at Pet Valu locations across Niagara and Hamilton to bring adoptable pets, pet visiting ambassador animals, information about all of our services and programs, our summer FREE pet Photo Booth and contest, and much more.

On August 15th, we'll wrap things up with our final day at Pet Valu in Binbrook! This will be our final event, featuring a walk and BBQ. On August 15th, registration will open at 9 am, with the walk starting at 10 am, and we'll return to the Pet Valu store for a free bbq and ice cream.

Please Note: We always plan to have an adoptable animal present, but sometimes our furry friends' schedules don't line up. We appreciate your understanding to ensure our pets remain healthy and ready adoption to find their forever home.
