For almost 140 years, the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA has been the voice for animals who cannot speak for themselves — protecting, healing, and finding homes for thousands every year. We’ve been there for the scared, the abandoned, and the forgotten, and for the families whose lives are brighter because of them.
Now, we’re at a turning point in our story. Through our Unleash Love campaign, we are building Canada’s first Animal Wellness Hub — a welcoming, compassionate space where shelter, veterinary care, and community programs come together to give every animal a better chance at life.This is more than a project. It’s a promise — to build a future where every pet is happy, safe, and wanted.

You’re a C-level executive, professional, or business leader. While board experience is an asset, what truly defines you is your compassion, integrity, and commitment to creating meaningful change — drawing on experience in governance, finance, law, marketing, philanthropy, construction, or animal care.
You live in the Hamilton–Burlington area.
