IKEA: A Trusted Partner Supporting HBSPCA’s Growth

At the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA, strong community partnerships help us continue our work for animals and the people who care about them. One partner we are grateful to work alongside is IKEA, whose ongoing support has been felt across our organization in meaningful and practical ways.

During our temporary relocation to McMaster Innovation Park, IKEA supported us through the move, helping ensure our team could continue working effectively during a time of transition. Moves can be disruptive, and having support during that period helped keep our operations running smoothly so our focus could remain on animal care and community services. 

Beyond logistical support, IKEA has shown their commitment through thoughtful engagement with our shelter. During the holiday season, members of the IKEA team visited and dropped off toys for our shelter pets, providing enrichment and comfort for animals spending the holidays in our care. These moments of connection and care make a real difference in the daily lives of shelter animals.

IKEA also joined us at our Unleash Love event on November 4, 2025, showing their support in person and helping demonstrate the importance of community involvement in animal welfare. Their presence reinforced the value of partnerships that extend beyond financial support and into shared visibility and advocacy. 

As HBSPCA continues to grow and move forward with plans for our new campus, we are thankful to have partners like IKEA who continue to show up and support our mission.
