A trip to the grocery store might not seem like a big deal, but for shelter pets and struggling pet owners across Hamilton and Burlington, it's about to make all the difference.
Every day, our team sees firsthand how far a little support can go, and this month, that support is coming from a familiar place: the grocery store.
We're excited to share our new community partnership with FreshCo, a local initiative where FreshCo stores across the area are helping us collect pet food donations for the animals and families we serve.

The partnership came together after we reached out to FreshCo for help getting pet food donations, and the response was a resounding yes.
Now, while shopping at their local FreshCo, customers can pick up an extra bag of pet food and donate it directly to the HBSPCA, with no extra trip required.
Donations from this partnership will benefit our Shelter, Foster, and Pet Pantry programs, three parts of our work that depend on a steady supply of food to keep pets fed and families together. Partnerships like this one aren't just helpful; they're essential to our sustainability.
They give us the steady, reliable resources we need to keep up with the growing demand for pet food assistance across Hamilton and Burlington.
We can't protect pets and support families alone.
